{"id":1055,"date":"2024-02-27T00:16:38","date_gmt":"2024-02-26T15:16:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/global-linx.jp\/bouei\/wp\/?page_id=1055"},"modified":"2025-08-29T12:19:16","modified_gmt":"2025-08-29T03:19:16","slug":"requirement","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/global-linx.jp\/bouei\/wp\/english\/admissions\/requirement\/","title":{"rendered":"Requirements for Admission"},"content":{"rendered":"<section>\r\n\t<h2>Requirements for Admission<\/h2>\r\n\t<p>To be admitted to the NDA, an applicant must<\/p>\r\n\t<ul>\r\n\t\t<li>Be a citizen of Japan between the age of 18 and 20, or between 18 and 22 if he or she is on active duty in JSDF, on April 1 of the year of matriculation.<\/li>\r\n\t\t<li>Be in good health and of good character.<\/li>\r\n\t\t<li>Have graduated from high school when admitted to the academy, or have completed the equivalent of a high- school diploma that is recognized by the Ministry of Education and Science, or have completed the third year of a higher technical school.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\t<\/ul>\r\n\t<p>The entrance examination consists of (1) a written examination, (2) a personal interview, and (3) a physical examination.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\t<h3>Entrance Ceremony<\/h3>\r\n\t<div class=\"side-img\">\r\n\t\t<div class=\"img\">\r\n\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/global-linx.jp\/bouei\/wp\/img\/english\/admissions\/001.jpg\" alt=\"Entrance Ceremony\">\r\n\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t<div class=\"content\">\r\n\t\t\t<p>Foreign applicants may be admitted by agreement between Japan and the country of origin. Foreign applicants must have a high-school or secondary-school diploma equivalent to that from a Japanese high school certified by the School Education Law of Japan.<\/p>\r\n\t\t\t<p>Foreign cadets can take the Japanese language course on campus for one year should they require it.
